Target Defense is a trusted cybersecurity service provider with over 7 years of experience helping organisations meet their security and compliance objectives. As part of the Bulletproof Group, we're on a mission to drive innovation and simplicity through the compliance and cybersecurity landscape. Our dedicated US sales and service delivery teams work with organisations nationwide to protect them from cyber threats through our comprehensive suite of ISO compliance, cloud security, penetration testing, and data protection services.
We're seeking a driven Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch or advance their career in cybersecurity sales. You'll be responsible for qualifying inbound leads, developing outbound opportunities, and closing sales of our ISO compliance and cloud security services to small and mid-sized businesses. This role provides a clear path for advancement account management positions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Qualification & Development
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and other sources
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect needs, challenges, and compliance requirements
- Qualify leads using established criteria (budget, authority, need, timeline)
- Educate prospects on Target Defense's services including ISO 27001 compliance, cloud security assessments, penetration testing, and GDPR consultancy
Outbound Prospecting
- Generate new business opportunities through strategic outbound calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach
- Research target companies and industries to identify potential clients with security and compliance needs
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for prospects
Sales & Closing
- Present Target Defense's solutions via phone, video conference, and email
- Develop and deliver proposals and quotes to small and mid-market prospects
- Negotiate terms and close deals to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Handle objections and address concerns throughout the sales process
CRM & Sales Operations
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions, opportunities, and activities in CRM
- Provide regular pipeline reports and forecasts to management
- Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure smooth handoffs and client onboarding
Continuous Learning
- Stay informed about cybersecurity trends, compliance regulations, and Target Defense's service offerings
- Participate in ongoing sales training and product education
- Learn about competitor offerings and market positioning
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of inside sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (B2B preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone and video
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Comfortable with technology and ability to learn complex technical concepts
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in ISO, cybersecurity, IT services, or technology sales
- Basic understanding of information security, compliance, or cloud computing
- Experience with outbound prospecting and lead generation
- Familiarity with sales methodologies and best practices
